Friends in Greenwood, South Carolina had a mid 50s dryer badged Coronado. The lint filter was under a cover in the middle of the control panel and when I got there for Thanksgiving in 1968, it looked like it had never been cleaned. I cleaned it which speeded up the drying and showed the lady of the house where it was and how to clean it. Whether she passed on the information to the hired help, I do not know. The heating element was stretched over the top of the perforated drum. I also showed them that the upper rack in the Hotpoint dish smasher was reversible to make room for large plates or tall glasses.
