I saw an old thread about Corox burner elements so am hoping someone can help me find a couple for my stove.

I am looking for both a large and small burner element for a 1949 Westinghouse stove model E-64-49. I am pretty sure this particular element was used on stoves made a year or two either side of 1949 as well.

Any assistance or referrals would be greatly appreciated. These are proving to be extremely difficult to find.

Ralph, Contact John at Alco Appliance at [email protected] We have some extra elements for the 5 heat switches. You are sure that it is the elements and not the switches that are bad? I like the way that switching from high to medium high turns off the outside coil. I hope you like your Westinghouse range. Tom

Thanks Tom, I appreciate this information. I know it's not a problem with the switch. You can change out the elements and still have the same one be bad on a different switch. I found a couple of smaller coils on a junker stove many years ago and one of those failed so have no good spares left. The other one has a bit of a hot spot so feel it might be going soon. The original small coil on the back burner is still OK but it's kind of weak. So if I can find another 6" element and an 8" while I've got the chance, I want one of each. This is my mom's original stove that's been in continuous use since 1949. She's legally blind but she knows how to work this one so it's important to keep it operational for her. It still has the original broiler element but the lower coil for the oven has been replaced a couple of times with a modern version. Otherwise it's all original and working fine.
Thanks again for the info, I will contact Alco and hope for the best.
