After playing phone tag, then both of us passing out (separately), we finally met at the lovely Mirage Hotel. From there it was off for drinks at the Venetian. Carol and I had a great time. Like meeting an old friend, except we hadn't met before.

Very nice place!I thought for a while it was the "real" Venice...but then looking well at the pics...no, it's a well-imitated copy.

Las Vegas was alot of fun, and especially b/c I got to meet another great member of this website. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy work schedule, Mike. I wish we would of had time to play with the Ironite! I am so glad we had a chance to meet, drink, and laugh our asses off.
I am missing Vegas already...the weather was absolutely perfect. It's hot and humid here in Texas! :-(
We just about did it all there in Vega$....and what happened there...DEFINEATELY stays there! ;-)

I had more than enough drinks in honour of the the group at the Texas wash-in...oh god...I think I will sweat bloody mary's and cosmos, and Crown Royal for a week...

The $1, CW gave me, didn't win anything. I came home with $26.00...I may be blonde, but I ain't stupid. LOL (well...)
Jason...we rode the roller coaster at New York New York! I have a pic of me and my best friend on it...eyes closed! You MUST ride it if ever in Vegas. Scared the #$@p outta us!

NYNY Coaster

ACK! You had to pick the WORST one? I've never ridden but I hear it's very rough. Try the one at Circus Circus and there a BIG one called Desperado (but I forget the Casino's name). Also, try the one on the Stratosphere.

When I get to Vegas, I will ride them all. Soon as I get some more vacation days, it's time to go coastin' (and washin') again.

NY NY Coaster

Yes I thought it was terrible too. Very very rough. I bashed my knees so hard on it that I could hardly walk when we got off. I'm not 100% positive, but I think they removed the coaster from the Stratosphere. There are a few other rides up there though. Here's a pic from the top of the stratosphere from about 3 years ago.

Goodbye Stardust

The Stardust is now closed. Soon to be imploded to make way for the new Echelon Resort. If I look out my backyard I can see the tower, so it should be interesting when they blow it up. The last hotel to go was the old Showboat. That was across town from me and still the house shook a bit. Can't wait to see what this one will do.
