24" WP Dryer

Hi Peter, the dryer you have is basically still in production and we have boxes of used parts for these, I cannot imagine that there will ever be a parts problem for the functional parts for this machine in either yours or my lifetime.

This little dryer uses the same motor, Front drum ring and bearing, idler pulley and rear rollers as the full size WP built 29" dryers. The belt is much smaller, the 341241 will not come close to fitting. If you ever need any recycled parts let us know.

Correction.

Thanks Combo52. The packaging of the 4392065 shows the 24" 27" and 29" dryer and has confused many customers. My store has almost no calls for these 24" dryers. I know they share many parts with their 29" siblings, but I have a greater degree of certainty with the full size versions.

thanks to all here!

great info. and pearsol, how i loved old pearsol parts store on gilbert ave. right out of downtown cinti! i used to live in norwood and have been there countless times over the past 30 years! usually for kitchenaid parts! bought a brand new motor for a 17 model there about 5 years ago, good price!

thanks maytagman, so ur in cinti. too! and volvoguy! i take it you work at the old pearsol dave, now dayton appliance parts? i will stop in with that model no. next time i'm in that part of the city (live in milford now). i appreciate it! and maytagman, glad you like the speedqueen! i lucked out big time on that one! just like with the 6 rollermatics i found in a 3 year period! i think i had divine help on those! i've got it set up that if i peel over and croak my friend who will handle my affairs is to notify this site and all my stuff is free to all of you for the taking! i would not want to see my beautiful rollermatics, the speed queen, the 1-18, the maytag, and my many old dishwashers go to the trash! only hitch is i plan on being around awhile, especially since i gave up sugar last year, changed my diet, and have lost 26 pounds and don't smoke or drink! but when i do go you guys need to get here and grab em all please! again they will be free!

combo, thanks so much, i take it you have an appliance business or a parts business? good to know this little dryer will have replacement parts around for a good while! i will let you know when i do need something. i kinda had a feeling it used many of the same parts as the bigger whirpool dryer use! looks like i can keep this dryer running for years! and it is such a great dryer to use! i don't need a fancy dryer with all the bells and whistles! i live alone, don't have that much to dry each week! this little machine is perfect for me!

i did also find some parts on e bay, a new heater in the box for 15 bucks! i may buy that! also rollers, a lint filter, and a few other parts i am not really interested in. the belt i found at partselect.com for 16 bucks plus shipping. but i will wait till i talk to you (dave) at dayton appliance about that kit with the belt, rollers etc. before i buy. now that i know a lot of stuff is available i don't feel the urgency to buy, was afraid most needed parts like a belt etc. were no longer available anywhere like parts for some of my fav dishwashers!

and maytagman, if you want to see more of that speedqueen i did a thread on it either last year or in 2011, can't remember when. think i listed it as "solid tub speed queen washer rebuild" or something to that effect. i haven't posted that much in the last 2 years as i took a long break from my appliance hobby (as i was burnt out) so my posts should be easy to search and find!

thanks again y'all
