when it comes to washer dryer could it be like a fashion trend take for exemple vintage machines when they first started it was Bendix and Westinghouse front load then came in top loads followed by combo washer dryer early years till the first direct drive washer then start 2004 return of front load models then look at now the new speed queen washer the question is why did speed queen decide to discontinue for home laundry frontload washer starting to wonder if companys like maytag whirlpool will not do like speed queen just imagine the trouble and work that would cause for those that need a stack washer dryer set or the work involve to redo the laudry area for an unstack set?

I believe that Speed Queen has stated that they will continue to make the stack sets available.

As for industry trends, you are onto something. As technology evolves, machines change and manufacturers push the newest features so that consumers feel that they are "must haves."
