I’d love to see pics of everyone’s holiday kitchens at work. Here’s a few of mine. The red dinette table was my Christmas present this year. All the cookies here were made using these old appliances. Merry Christmas to all.

Very nice! Cookies look good, wish I had one. I never make that type but numerous relatives do and always enjoy them, it's fun to see how the kids decorate them.

Thanks! Lawrence, my daughter painted me those pictures. She did my 1910 Singer treadle sewing machine as well that I have hanging in my sewing room. I love them. Oh, I missed the tennis ball on the floor. My pup chases that thing around all day long.

Here's yesterdays batches. Today is the big cooking day: twice baked potatoes, sweet potato casserole, Chocolate cream pies, fresh cranberry sauce, one of those mid century jello salads with the pretzel crust and strawberries, toffee cracker candy, Polish mushrooms.I'll put the ham in my late grandmother's Westinghouse roaster in the morning.

All those homemade cookies look so good, and I'm sure taste fantastic.
It's much more economical to make them rather than buy at a bakery. I picked up some at my favorite bakery yesterday for one of my neighbors, and it was $19.50 for a tray of about a pound. They are all fancy small cookies.
Don't know if I'll get any homemade ones this year, as I'm not going to my sister's for Christmas, as they will be in Texas. They had their Christmas last Friday, but I didn't go up. I'd thought it was going to be Saturday or Sunday, but she didn't let me know in time that it was changed.
The kitchen is very comfortable and homey looking.

What a great baking stove, your cookies are lovely. I'm guessing you've done all the piping yourself, puts my beginner status to shame! A friend of mine used an icing template on some of her cookies, it feels like cheating but every one of them was perfect.

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words. I'm really humbled and delighted that others might enjoy my appreciation for yesteryear's style. I found you all when I went to buy my KDS 16 on craigslist and needed advice on how to maintain her. From there I sought advice on my other vintage appliances and you all have always come through with the answers and encouragement I needed.
Thank you again, Roger, for passing the glorious pink Queen of my kitchen on to me. She makes me smile every time I walk into my kitchen.
I have to ask the Kevin: are you the Kevin from Cavalcade of Food fame? I am so addicted to those videos because they hit all the particular notes of my life.
I am Polish, growing up with a Polish mom and grandma who cooked all of those recipes. I grew up in Livonia, MI and spent much time in Detroit at my grandfathers Polish butcher shop. We had a cottage in the thumb growing up and we just bought our own cottage in the thumb this fall. I grew up shopping at Hudson's downtown, too, so those Hudson's recipes ring all sorts of bells. I think I found Cavalcade of Food when I bought my 1st vintage range: a 1953 Frigidaire Thrifty 30. Your video of the cottage stove switch came up. I'm sorry if you are not that Kevin but if you are Thank you for the great videos.

I live in a very small town—around 4,600–and each year, a designated night is “Christmas Lights Night.”
A long, long parade of vehicles drive slowly up and down the streets to enjoy the houses and yards that have been lit up for the season. And yes, my car is always in that long, long parade, lol.
