Pat, I'll take your word for it that the shelves are copper colored because I agree that the interior liner is a 1956 color. When I didn't see copper shelves, that's what threw me and I completely spaced regarding turquoise being a '56-only color.
My 1951 or 52 comment is based on the exterior shot in the ad. That is not a 1956 exterior since the handles are the mechanical type found on the early model Combinations, and it has the black kick plate as well. By 1956 the handles functioned as pulls and had a much different design than the mechanical types from the early years, and forced draft condenser models replaced the kick plate with a grill.
I just wonder what a prospective buyer would find when they went to have a look at the actual fridge that's for sale. Would it really have the handles on the right, which is less common than on the left? These days, people who don't have a phone or camera to snap a picture and upload it are few and far between, and that raises a flag for me. The seller states that the top handle is "missing." How does a handle go missing? Makes me wonder what else might be missing on the inside, and skeptical as to the machine's overall cosmetic condition.
