Heh. I visited a friend a few days ago and met his crazy dog: Morgan. This dog is a Presa Canario. Its a rare breed of dogs. Anyway, i helped the guy cutting the lawn and suddenly Morgan wanted to play with me.

So i turned off the lawnmover and started playing with the dog for a while. When this dog is exited he makes a funny "growl" noise, plus that he ALWAYS wants to jump up on you. He stands on the hindlegs and has the paws on your shoulders. He is not angry in the video, he is very exited.

Quite a heavy dog LOL.

The scary thing with this dog is that he looks almost exactly like Bane, The dog that mauled Diane Whipple in San Fransisco. This dog however is very nice and has never bite anyone. He has bumped into things so hard they had broke, but its maybe not his fault. He´s like a bull in a china shop.

Looks like you got a talker on your hands!

If you listen closely, that dog is not growling, but vocalizing.
We have had several dogs that do this. They usually do it when they are happy about something.
We had a Dalmatian once that made a oooh-wah-wah noise. He would do it over and over again while in the kitchen. Well one morning I heard Karen say to him "Do you want a yum yum" and gave him a treat. Well, oooh-wah-wah was the dog trying to vocalize yum yum!
Our old Dalmatian we have now has never been a talker, she just grunts when she's happy. Our Golden Retreiver makes a high pitched "bip" noise when happy. and our Black Lab makes some kind of gutteral noise that sounds like it originates in his stomach when he is happy!
Dogs generally like to interact with their owners, and the vocalization you hear is them just letting you know it!
