Didn't Frigidaire have a model with a removeable cassette player in the door for leaving notes for family members?

I seem to remember seeing or hearing about a microwave in the 80 with a radio or cassette player built in as well. Were those real?

Frigidaire did make the radio/cassette model in the later 70's. I'm not sure about the 80's microwaves but some friends of mine have a GE Profile OTR micro/hood combo with a message center. I think if a microwave is going to talk, it should say "Remember to cover your food before pressing start!"

At one time Sears had a Kenmore over-the-range microwave with a 7" or 9" tv screen adjacent to the control panel on the right. You could watch the evening news while preparing dinner!

I don't remember the Frigidaire radio/cassette. Must have been as popular as their short lived "beverage center" refrigerators.
