I just found a GE range at the curb a few houses down... (it seems the same as I found in this post from some time ago: http://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?47158 ), so I'm guessing it's ~1961, and is very pink, with sensi-temp and dinner-dials.

I have no idea if it works, but it looks in good shape (all the crud in the photo is just lots of caked on dirt that'd probably wash off). There doesn't look to be much if any actual corrosion.

Is this something that'd be worth salvaging or doing anything with? Or if anyone is looking for such a unit... I don't have a place in my home for it personally.

We have metal-recycler/scavengers that drive around with a trailer pretty regularly, so there's a good chance it'll probably get grabbed by tomorrow early morning otherwise.

There's also a 2nd item out there too, looks like a early-mid 70s GE range/oven but that has a couple microwave control dials on it(?). It looks just like a regular oven/range, but maybe it has microwave functionality too? I didn't know there was such a product.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Save it!

If you have the means and room get it. Don't let a scrapper take it.
