got a Daewoo front load for repair-has door lock error code,made in 2010,direct drive BLDC motor,looks about the same construction as the other Korean imports.Clean,low use condition except for foul stench when door open-will run a bottle of bleach through it once in operating order

got it going...

could not figure out how to get the top off,but took boot loose to get to latch-took delicate plastic mechanism apart:there is solenoid,contacts,and a couple PTC pellets in there.Finding nothing wrong,put it all back together and washer working now...time for a good shakedown wash session.The latch unit was made by Rolo and appeared to be European origin.
