Danby TL AGI With Mechanical Timer is Back

The Danby top load agitator washer with a mechanical timer (DWM99W) disappeared from their website some months ago, and I thought it had been replaced by the "electronic model." The DWM99W is back! (Danby now offers both mechanical and electronic-control top-load agitator washers.)

Are these units made by Haier?

I checked the link to the US site and only the electronic model automatic is shown? Also this is an Avanti clone, if you look up the avanti portable you will see the resemblance. It *MAY* be a Haier outsource, but the Haier's have a distinctly different look and no agitator although it works much like a pulsator.

 

Very interesting though, and I've noticed other products of their going to the "generic" Chinese models of things with a million different re-brandings.
