commercial finds! That 1956 ad looks like it has my '56 GE FF and I couldn't quite tell, either the Combo or the Dryer next to the washer.

 

I almost thought I saw a window in the door that would make it a Combo.

I had purchased a white westinghouse frontloader in the '80s. I used the lemon dash and loved it. Still don't understand why P&G doesn't bring it back with everything going HE these days.

Thanks 'Shark! I saw a couple I'd not seen before - that '56 GE was fabulous. My grandmother used to complain about my grandfather using his hanky as an engine rag, too. The results weren't usually as sparkling clean as the commercial, though.

In the first video, what is up with the reverse rollover with a straight vane agitator? Can someone explain the theory behind this?

That first video Larry has one heck of a wobbly agitation...not even a full stroke

I miss a lot of these older detergents.....they push for COLD water cleaning, like this is something new....bring back the original...COLD POWER!....

it's more along the lines like people get bored with stuff, and they have to invent a new box for the old product...and how to charge more money for it!
