Just wondering if things like that bother you.....

Yes! Burnt out dash lites bug me. To me it is a safety issue. Must be able to see intrument panel, buttons, knobs inside the car when dark. If a driver is fumbling around in the dark trying to find the fan switch to me it is the same as texting while driving. Less time eyes are on the road. I'm glad to hear all you guys fix your dash lites. I think it makes everyone a safer driver. The ability to SEE is everything when driving.

Qsd-dan, I'm surprised (and happy for you) about your dash lights... my Accord is a 99 too. I've googled it and it seems to be quite a common problem with these cars. I put the new bulbs the climate control panel, and when I did, the opposite side that has always worked went dark. So frustrating. I ordered new bulbs from the dealer (they were out of stock), and will try again with all new bulbs. The fuses all look fine, so I don't know what to do after this other than just live with it and know that I tried my best. The other day I got in the car and the map lights were hanging down... the plastic retainers that held the screws in place both broke off apparently at the same time for no reason. Hopefully my superglue fix will hold! I think I'm starting to notice an oil leak too, so I've gotta go to the mechanic early in the morning before work tomorrow and see what's up with that. I guess an 11 year old car with 150,000 miles isn't going to be perfect, but my goodness, it's starting to get annoying. I thought this was supposed to be a Honda for goodness sake! Thank goodness I didn't get the Alero I always wanted, I can't even imagine how many issued I'd have had with that by now!
