Depending on how well it has been taken care of it's worth @ most $150 IMO. If it is a pump model, make sure it's in working order, check for rust on the skirt, chips in the interior & exterior finish. It is most likely a 1980's machine. If it's a gravity drain version that's a plus in my book, one less thing to go wrong!

I would agree with polkanut $150.00, I bought one about two years ago in excellent shape for $65.00 from a older couple that were moving to a retirement community and they thought the phone would be ringing off the hook but had no one interested but me. The Amish perfer Maytags as they seem to be more durable. As for the age I agree with you it is a much later model good luck as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The indentation on the machine below the Speed Queen sticker is where the pump switch would be if it had one. This one also has a porcelain tub. I also would date this as a mid- to late-80's machine. From your pic, it looks to be in really good shape.
My machine has a stainless steel tub and a pump, and the switch to engage agitation is higher up on the leg than this one. I'd date mine to be from the late 70's to about 1980. I emailed my serial number to Alliance to find the mfg. date. They emailed me back saying the company no longer maintains wringer washer production records.

Ok, the lady finally wrote back and said that she is selling it for her brother n law and to the best of her knowledge, it's never had water in it...and is brand new. She's invited me to come see. What should i check for? Any pointers? Never bought a wringer before...Not really sure why I'm buying this one...lol
