I was wondering if the GE small appliances had date codes or a way to date them.
I know the GE fans pre 1940 used a Form No. that you can date them with. However it seems the fans made after that have no codes or anything.
Two of my GE box fans have a mystery number on the bottom label. One I can't read, the other says P.S. No. 3202
Any idea what P.S. stands for? Production maybe?
Is this a date code? Also I have the box for this fan and the number 1165 is stamped in ink on it.
The GE electronics always seemed to use a 4 digit code on them, so I'm wondering if this is the same thing.
You'd think they'd have some way to figure out production dates to determine if it was still under warranty or not.
