Well, today was fun again. I arrived at a new place, John's Trading Post, met a man named Chris and he was kind enough to show me around the back. Actually this is a new furniture and appliance store which sells Crosleys. I gave my number on a card to him and he jotted down the name of this website. He may drop in on us, I don't know if he will join.
John's was formerly a SQ dealer and there were ample supplies of old SQ and Amana. Chris said that he does have some solid basket SQ across the street in a small warehouse. There were a few GE's (at least 2 FF) and some old center dial Maytag(66-80 design). I see these A400(?) popping up with incresing regularity.
40 miles north of Monroe I passed by a house on a street I never go down, but took it today due to a traffic detour. There was an old autoshop, a mobile home, a concrete patio or driveway next to it, a A400 sereis Maytag and a dryer infront of it-a Rollermatic era Frigidaire! In white, it didn't look BOL, had the pull on the door rather than the button to the side, possibly may have been a filtrator as I didn't see any exhaust port in the rear. Th ink tomo rrow I will take my binoculars and I can photograph these for you and send tomm. eve. I really haven't felt at liberty yet to snap pix of anything yet (that looks interesting enough to do so) Pleasant dreams-David
