I have a heavy, wiry beard which causes pilling on the inside of my shirt collars, but the shirts are otherwise in good condition.

How do you all handle this? There's more than a few bears on this site, so I know I can't be alone in this problem.

I dimly remember many years ago somebody made a gizmo like an electric razor that would in essence shave the pills off, but how is this normally treated? Oddly, I don't remember seeing any advice in older laundry manuals.

Thanks

A Wash Or Two In A Detergent With Cellulase

Should help clear things up.

When one notices things looking less than smooth use either Persil powder or my vintage Tide "Ultra" powder. Both contain cellulose and do a good job of munching away pilling leaving things looking smoother.
