Spoked Pulley On Later MT HOH Dryers
Sorry Brain I didn't think why you were asking if the aluminum pulley should be replaced. I never saw a problem with the spoked pulleys, but there weren't that many ever used I suppose. In theory the smaller pulley would wear faster than the steel ones did, although this would take a VERY long time because there much more tension on the 2ndary belt on HOH dryers, so you don't have the problem with slippage that you have with the motor pulleys on HOH dryers. Aluminum pulleys often have more problems with the bronze bushings working loose, but I have never seem this happen on one of these pulleys.
In any case I would keep this pulley, not only is it unique but it also allows a better view of the dryers floor pan, LOL.
