I fell in love with coffee a half century ago when I first became a teenager. Bunches of years of drinking awful, bitter hospital coffee taught me to appreciate fresh, good coffee. However, I never became a coffee snob, and am still not one.
I prefer grinding my own Community per either cup or pot. However, as I've wandered into my sixties, I also have begun to limit my coffee to about 2-3 cups daily. And it's been my blessing that even if I skip days or more, I never get any caffeine withdrawal.
However, I find that I really only like one decaf: Taster's Choice by Nescafe. I don't like the fresh-grind Community decaf, nor any of the instants or beans I've tried over the years. I do double the amount per cup; it's about 3:15am as I type this and I have a hot cup beside me.
I certainly understand how others might not like decaf at all. However--are there people out there who enjoy coffee for its own sake, and who enjoy a cup or two of decaf every so often?
