Defeat Lid Switch

I have a Kenmore 700 Series washer. I would like to defeat the lid swtch so when the machine goes out of balance, I can redisribute the clothes and start the machine up again and watch it spin to make sure it's correct.

Can anyone tell me how to defeat the switch?

Is is a matter of adding two small magnets over the sensor? (Front-right with the lid open).

The lid switch on the above model is hidden below the cabinet. It is hooked to the left lid hinge. the only way to defeat it is to unclip the console, swing it to the up position and "jump out" the lid switch. You will see it attached to the left lid hinge when you swing the console up.

.... and this is what I did!

I opened up the control console, found the lid switch plug that came through the cabinet top and added a jumper across the 2 wires for it. (the red "clips" and the gold wire)
