Hello, my name is Terry and I’m a new member here. I inherited this Delco motor from my grandfather. He used it to power a wood lathe. After some internet searches I ended up here, concluding it is a wringer washer motor. This one has a little gearbox built in to the motor that reduces the speed of the small shaft. I’m assuming that this motor is from a wringer washer with a pump. Can anyone tell me what model washer used this motor and how old it might be? Have you ever seen another Delco with the little gearbox built in? I’m grateful for any information you might provide.

looks mid 1930s-early 40s era-spec plate usually has a date code:such as A40-jan.1940.pretty steep reduction on that worm gearbox.Could indeed be from a wringer washer.
