an interesting question about my Bosch dishwasher: if a glass flips DURING the wash, can it detect the water level getting low?

because guess what happened today... my huge 600ml water glass that was in the bottom rack must've flipped during the wash because after the program ended it was literally in inverted position and it was filled completely with 600ml of dirty water.

since it's a huge glass, it made me curious about one thing, can the machine detect such cases during the wash and add extra water? because like... 600ml is huge and it must've used the water that normally should've been in circulation during the wash. i don't know during which phase it flipped, but it might be prewash since it had a dirty water.

what happens in these cases? do these machines have anything for dishes that might flip and fill during the wash?

My Bosch series 6 does not detect if the water level drops. I had a similar incident when a plastic pot flipped and filled with water. I could hear the wash pump pumping air as well as water. Opened up the door and tipped water out of pot and secured it and all was well.

Some units that sense the fill level via pump motor's current draw claim to have the ability. A more substantial volume of water adjustment may be required to trigger it than may be expected. DishDrawers sense the fill level via that method. Plastic bowls and cups flip occasionally in my DD but the only instance I've clearly noticed it adding more water during a wash period was in response to oversudsing from a Cascade Platinum pod.
