Who of you would be interested to have laundry detergent-(softener or whatever you wish) exchange with Italy?
I can see some people like to try international detergents, I love using made in USA products, so I'm wondering if instead of spending lot of $ on ebay or websites we can start an equal detergent exchange among us saving some money......I would ship everything marked as gift with Italian postal service with trackable mail etc....
Whom is interested please mail me....

Just Placed An Order To France

For Ariel "Alpine Fresh" and Persil with Savon de Marseille, so am best pleased, however what is it you are interested in from the USA?

Problem is in most instances shipping costs plus customs. Regardless of what the sender declares on the form the United States Postal Service *can* decide something isn't a "gift" and charge accordingly. So far one has been lucky but just wanted to put that out there.

All but the "ultra" compact boxes of powder are dear to ship as well. Indeed gel and other compact versions of liquid products will also give more product for money shipping wise. Even better if one can use special all you can fit into a "flat rate" boxes for shipping (Priority Mail Flat Rate- USPS, La Poste - Colissimo, etc...)

Most liquid detergents though recently remade "2x" or even "3x" are still very large and heavy (about 100oz). Though some brands such as "All" do come in the smaller bottles one sees in Europe, P&G's products including Tide do not. Indeed IIRC the 100oz is actually the smallest size aside from trial packets one can get.

I'd be interested in:

I'd like to get some Trend regular powder or Sun regular powder for first, I don't like liquids and I prefer the powders...... I'd like to get also a bottle of fresh start but I know it is difficult to find in some areas......
I know customs taxes are a problem for Italy too, anyway just for curiosity how much they would charge you for a gift or merchandise of about 30$? Italy for this value would charge about 12euros (they take random packages not all fortunately). Italian postal service is way more high on costs, and does not have special offers like all you can fit etc..... Maybe I will spend more than the other part for shipping a similar weight and size weight, not a problem for me I think I will save anyaway than on buying on the internet...
Everything is arrangable.....
The detergent I could ship are plenty and on many sizes:
-Dash powders from aprox 18 to 35 loads or even more (available in alpine scent, regular, plus softener, and with baking soda)
-Dixan powders same sizes of Dash (available in regular or marseille and wood ash soda)
-Dixan concentrated liquids( classic, lavender, eucaliptus) and ultra concentrated same scents of regular concentrated.
-Dash liquids concentrated are the same scents of powders.
-Sole powder about 18 loads, and concentrated liquids 25 loads available on mint fresh or plus softener) it has also a ultra concentrated bottle about the same size of the All small&mighty.
-Ava powder, and liquid ultra concentrated liquid ( this bottle is also about same size of the All small&mighty)
-Ace powder clasiic, liquid concentrated.
Here there're also many detergents on tablets and liquid tabs:
Ace liquid tabs only.
Dixan both regular tabs and liquid tabs
Ava both regular tabs and liquid tabs
Dash both regular tabs and liquid tabs
These are the major brands, but there're many more if someone is looking for sometrhing specific please let me know.

Well Did Some Looking When At The Supermarket

To fetch milk and powder wise the shelves aren't full as what they once were.

Sun isn't sold around these parts nor Trend powder it seems. One used to see both years ago but assume they were cut loose when the move to liquids took hold. Any particular reason for these choices? Neither are top or even middle shelf detergents in North America. Indeed last time one tried Trend powder (was in college) it was fluffy stuff filled mostly with fillers for rather a large box.

Wouldn't Fresh start isn't sold around here either but can be had from eBay or the Internet but again international shipping will be dear as those jugs are heavy, and they won't fit in any of the standard "flat rate" boxes. Well the contents would but then you'd loose the original packaging.

The only powders one is likely to find around our way are:

Tide
Cheer
Purex
Surf
All

Yes, things are that bleak! Most if not all detergent shelf space at local supermarkets/shops have given over to liquids.

Sun and Trend

Both are easily found in my area, every store in town carries both it seems. I'm not sure what shipping from Kentucky to Italy would be though, probably a rather scary amount, lol... Havent seen Fresh Start in years, except online. I would order it myself, but I can only find it available by the case....

I can get Sun and Trend here in Memphis. I will see if I can ship it in a flat rate box. I would love to have some diffrent detergents and some vanish. e-mail at the address in my profile and I will see what I can do.Also i can get the Mexican detergent powders Focca with phosphates. Carl

Was that amazed in peeping around how low the selection of poweders was a local shops. You'll find a few types of Tide and if one is lucky Cheer but that is about all. Will be down in the Village later this week and may just peek into K-Sears and see what's on offer there; however if memory serves correctly even they moved to shelves full of liquids with a puny selection of powders.

On another note noticed Tide liquid for sale yet again at a local supermarket. This makes almost the fourth or fifth week off and on those 100oz bottles have been on sale. Indeed am seeing Tide liquids on sale every other week all over the place. Either P&G is planning a major revamp and is moving old products or the bad economy is forcing people to try *cheaper* stuff and Proctor & Gamble finally got the message.

US & Foreign Detergents

Tide GOOD in ultra powder in regular version, has some sodium percarbonate.

Cheer NOT so good in powder or liquid-performance changed as formulas did

Purex FUGGEDABOUDIT! JUNK, poor-people stuff

Surf Ditto

All ONLY Liquid 2X with Oxi Active is good and has enzymes and water softener, powders and "Small & Mighty"(no water softener in most other liquids) NOT GOOD-have no enzymes.

Trend JUNK

Fresh Start DO they STILL make this stuff anymore? Last I ever used it was when it had phosphates, then they stopped making it altogether after the non-phosphate version flopped.

Sun JUNK

If you want to try other GOOD US detergent, Seventh Generation Powder and Green Works liquid from Clorox/Henkel are EXCELLENT! Also Amway Legacy of Clean SA8 + Bioquest ultra concentrate he powder is GREAT! Most detergents here are "price-fixed" in many stores, yes even in Walmart!!! It is becoming so expensive to buy detergent here in the US! Everything costs a LOT.

IMPORTANT&FORGOTTEN

Forgot to say an important thing: If you do not want to get back only the detergent I could send you a littlest package of what ur curious about and repay the remaning part with $, I do have paypal...... I know for someome maybe the flame is not worth the candle......I'm just trying to do this in the hope to save a little, the idea of exchange was ideated to avoid business earns let it be a reciprocal favor from a member to another....also, the idea of exchange goes toward whom for the bad change of dollar-euro-GBP is afraid to buy overseas detergent....

IMPORTANT&FORGOTTEN :P

Forgot to say an important thing: If you do not want to get back only the detergent I could send you a littlest package of what ur curious about and repay the remaning part with $, I do have paypal...... I know and understand that for someone maybe the flame would not worth the candle......I'm just trying to do this in the hope to save a little, the idea of exchange was ideated to avoid profits letting it be a reciprocal favor from a member to another, and then I personally think it's nice to start a thing like this among us, it keeps us even closer!....also, the idea of exchange goes toward who for the bad change of dollar-euro-GBP is discouraged to buy overseas detergents that wants to try....
