It's been i while since we had a Detergent thread so i thought i would share with you what i've being buying lately. Has anyone used Time liquid dishwasher Gel, what a great performing product it is.

I cleared out my detergent stash on Tuesday and gave it all to my sister. She got a box of Henkel Persil, Polish Woolite for whites, Couple of bottles of Ariel Gel, small box of Persil non bio, Aldis Bio liquid, Ariel liquitabs and a small box of Persil Bio capsules. All taking up far too much space!!
I'm just left with Ariel Antibacterial professional+ powder, Ariel 3in1 pods and two bottles of Ariel clean and compact liquid.

Rob is that Downy the equivalent to what was Lenor Fabric Enhancer from a few years back, i used to love that stuff.

Where did you get the Downy? I thought they stopped doing the Downy fabric enhancers a few years back.
Also the Persil caps? Weren't this the format like 10+ years ago.
According to Wiki, they were going to ditch the Lenor brand completely and rename it Downy.

I went down the detergent aisle at the grocer this morning. I am still amazed by the sheer number of non-HE detergents still on the shelves. Sure seems like there is a strong demand for TL friendly detergents. Makes me wonder how many people might have switched back to a TL machine after failing with a front loader.
But that is off topic.

Front loaders vs Top Loaders
I'm interested in the issue in the Front Load vs Top Load.
I wonder why the problem?
In the UK Front loaders have been common place for some time (a lot longer than the US) From what I understand, we almost completely bypassed TL going straight from Twin Tub to FL.
We don't seem to have the problems with FL that US seem have lots of issues with.
What could be the cause you think?
