What Detergents & Stain removers do you use?

I used Ariel bio & colourfast detergents well as Ariel stain remover liquid & Lenor Summer freshness as a fabric conditioner

@aegokocarat

you know what, ive never heard of napisan, how good is it at cleaning and where can i buy it? because ive always used ariel some times daz for my whites but ariel has always been number one because it agrees with my skin unlike the others brands

Hiya Dave! this is where I got it from, Ipinched it off my sister LOL! I gave it back to her honest (halo and angelc backing tune) I use it on my nicee's bibs and baby grows when I babysit.

I find powders clog the machine up

That is somewhat of an urban myth; perhaps if you use cheaper washing powders with more fillers they won't dissolve as well, but I and many others have been using powder for years without machines clogging up.

If anything, continued use of gel will probably do more harm to a machine than if powder was to be used exclusively.

Napisan

Is a product that was, to the best of my knowledge, developed in Australia...and is only a recent addition to British supermarket shelves since it was rebranded 'Vanish'

It is ultimately, a laundry soaker, but also contains (depending on the version) enzymes. Think of it as a 'Bio Tex/Bio Ad' style of product...and it can be added into the wash too as a detergent booster.

I buy either Persil bio or non bio or Ariel traditional powder depending on whats on offer.
I do not believe in the myth that non bio's better for your skin but i do think non bio Persil still works great.
From experiance powders are far better at stain removal then liquids or gels and i hate the way liquids foam up even when you put a bit less then what they tell you. Liquids are also rubbish with washing whites ive found.
As for the softener i have a bottle of Fairy softener, but i have found that even useing this it makes me itch on clothing that is very close to my skin like top of socks and underwear...
So i prefer going without... softener that is

@buzzman1982

persil non bio is actually good i personal think its the best out there so far i actually think its better than ariel non bio. when i use ariel bio & ariel colour i tend to use the tablet form or the actilift squirt bottle as i find powder ruins the detergent draw on the washing machine as it did on my old zanussi it created hard layers inside the draw which seem to look like limescale?? i tend to always clean the detergent draw after once a week

@ronhic & the others

Napisan is just another name for the sanitizing additive Dettol. In Italy Napisan now comes with the same illustration as Dettol in other countries, but with different colors as the image below :)
