Arcoiris

The name on the gayest detergent label with the purple bottle means rainbow in English. Iris is the Greek goddess of the rainbow. At the end of the storm in Fantasia, Iris pulls the rainbow across the sky. I am going to have to look for this detergent to see what the perfume is.

Something tells me it will smell like lavender...

Well, a review at the Walmart site says:

"Amazing!
This is by far the best laundry detergent I jave ever used! I have a front load machine and was afraid of this being too "sudsy". so I started with 1 cup of detergent and half a cup of baking soda. we have very hard water and the baking soda helps soften the water and remove odors. which I have always had to do with any name brand detergent. I used no added fabric softeners. Added half a cup of distilled vinegar to the bleach and fabric softener dispensers to cut soap residue, soften clothes and remove any remaining body odor. Omg my sheets have never been cleaner! No chemical smell either! So I tried on my husbands greasy, sweaty, gross work clothes, but cut back to 1/2 cup of detergent and 1/2 cup of baking soda, just to see what happened. His work clothes were clean, no perfume smells and so soft. I have found my new forever detergent."

I read that and figured that this powder was not concentrated meaning it had lots of fillers and I would not waste money on it. The liquid has more promise, but any detergent in this day and age that requires a cup of product is not something that bespeaks high technology formulation or maybe she does not read directions.

The line about the sheets never having been cleaner makes me wonder what the hell she has been sleeping on up until the advent of this detergent. Just like the comment about remaining body odor being removed by vinegar. What the Hell? I don't need to use vinegar, but then my laundry does not have remaining body odor, even before going into the washer. Maybe there is a reason why they needed to use so much detergent.

Evolution equipped us with body odor to make us less desirable to potential predators and evolution was also smart enough to give us a certain nose blindness to our own and loved ones` body odor.
Unfortunately not everyone is equally blessed with this kind of nose blindness so some of us may be more aware of their own scent than others.
Suppose the reviewer is one of the few where evolution didn`t do as good of a job as on the majority.
