I sold an old 1949 Fridigaire fridge on E-bay last year that my neighbor gave me when I took up Photography back when I was a teenager. For the storage of photography supplies. That was before I discovered this site too Unfortunatly, it wouldn't fit in my new house, so it stayed in my parent's house for the next 5 years. I sort of miss the thing now...I remodeled the kitchen, and now I have room for a bigger one! Not that I'm asking for it back, but just wondering if anybody here is enjoying it as much as I did in the 15 or so years I had it!

Wow

That's the refrigerator my Maternal Grandparents had that I grew up with, and it was working right up til she died in December 2003. Don't know if it's stil in her house or if my Mom got rid of it during preperations for selling the house. Theonly that went werong with it all those years was a failed thermostat, the springs for the freezer door hinges(I repaired that), the interior light stopped working (never got fixed), and the glass over the crisper drawers got brokem (I had a piece of plexiglass cut to replace it.)

It's also the model they used on "Third Rock From The Sun"

That sounds almost like this one! I broke the glass over the crisper drawers with a large container of developer. The thermostat was a little flakey too, and would sometimes get stuck on, resulting in below freezing temp's in the fresh food area. I never noticed it's "stardom" on 3rd rock...I'll hafta keep my eye out for it the next time I see that show on!
