I found this toaster at a thrift shop and picked it up because I liked the looks of it. These were quite expensive back in the day they were sold, which was about 8-10 years ago. However, I cannot figure out how to open it. There are no screws visible anywhere on the bottom. I've polished the outside and removed as many crumbs as I could but I still hear them rattling inside, and I see a few stuck inside the LCD screen windows.

The manual to these doesn't list repair parts as these aren't an item that was repairable, so no indication as to how it goes together.

I finally figured it out. I just didn't think to take the crumb trays out before. Once that was out, the top and sides just lifted off. It was actually pretty clean inside, it was just big crumbs that were making all the racket. Now I just need to figure out how the levers come off so I can get the entire outer housing off and clean out the LCD window areas.

Can anyone say possibly how to remove the handles from the front of the toaster? It seems the metal stems go inside these plastic parts but I can't figure out how to release them.

Without taking off the levers I don't see how to remove the top from the unit and clean inside the top. I esp need to clean inside the LCD windows as there are little crumbs inside.

Also does anyone know who made these toasters or Sears' current toaster? I was thinking possibly Electrolux appliances?
