My mom had this door to door salesman for "Lightning Quick" garbage disposers come in he had offered her a "Free Dishwasher"if she bought the disposer for $99. It was a aatch feed type a lot like a Kitchen Aid. He came back that weekend. Mom had a contractor cut out the opening for her new dishwasher they were supposed to be installing. After the disposer and faucet were installed, the installer left. Mom was at work and her mother was home to be sure it got done. My grandmother had no idea of what was to be done so after they left and no dishwasher was installed,my mother came home and was puzzled and angry at the same time. She called the salesman and he said "Mrs.Diehl, your dishwasher is there. it's a Lightning Quick model made by Dishmaster and it is built in to your new faucet." She was so pissed off that she canceled her check and called the BBB having their company exposed and finally fined for misrepresentation.We had that unit up until around 1977.At one point,we had accidentally thrown the twist type cap away and had to place our finger down to push the button to turn it on. One day,it was my turn to do the dishes and as I placed my finger down and pushed the button,The paring knife that was down there cut my index finger and I bled like a pig crying of shear pain.My dad finally removed it and we got a new continuous feed model from ISE(Insinkerator)

Which model Dishmaster did you get? Looks like maybe M76 is checked on the box. We had an Imperial 4 and I liked it. Back 20 years ago it cost $75. They have gone way up since then. Doubt I'd buy one again due to the price but they do have their convenience factor.

These are great! You can find them on Ebay every now and then, I like the vintage models; I've bought several that were in the original boxes.
The spray wand and tubing can be replaced.

The Dishmaster 2000 is what I recommended to my partner (20 years my senior)some 3 or 4 years ago.Found it at All American hardware on Firestone Bl. in Norwalk or Downey. As luck would have it, the day he purchased it was "Senior Day"; which accounted for a certain % off which was great, as good hardware of any quality is not cheap.GOOD CHOICE, and NO complaints. For those who are unfamiliar with the product, it is the "deck mount" single lever very stylish and fun to use!! YAY!! The "Imperial" models are fun too, but the "2000" is very funtional and smart looking.

I have one from 1957 that's never been used. I bought a new hose for the sprayer as the original dry rotted from sitting. I plan to install it soon.
