I was using LIDL or ALDI tablets and had no issues with either. A couple of months ago we switched to having all our groceries delivered by Tesco, so I am limited to what they stock.

I've been buying the current formulation of the `Everyday Value' tabs which are fine in every respect, except at tea stain removal. So when I order next week I'm going to have to cough up a bit more for some better ones! From memory a couple of years ago when I used Fairy All in 1, they were also bad at tea stain removal and had a really strong smell. They also oversudsed massively, infact to be frank I'd have the value ones rather than those again. What about the Fairy Platinum, are they as ghastly as the All in 1?

I can't remember much about Finish. I remember I like the smell! Are they better than Fairy at tea stains? I was also considering just reverting to normal Finish powder as I use salt and rinse aid anyway. The Finish liquid, of course is great at tea stains because it contains chlorine bleach, but the downside it stinks the kitchen out and doesn't `do' a whole bunch of other stain as there are no enymes.

Coming from LIDL, ALDI etc being so good I would find it hard to justify the price tag on the really premium ones like Quantum etc.

If anyone can give me some advice I would really appreciate it.

Nick

Thanks

Try Tesco's discount brand 'Daisy' - £2 for 40 tablets - which are good for general cleaning and tea stains, but some mucky pots and pans need soaking for a while, but recently for heavy soiled things I have started using Finish Classic - 10 tabs for 99p from B&M.

Overall, I would give them 8/10 - much better than the Tesco Own brand - not Everyday Value.

I second the Daisy recommendation - to be honest not as good as Finish but for £2 odd they really aren't a bad tablet.  I have a box at the moment (doesn't seem to be any decent Finish offers at the moment which is unusual), and they aren't bad.  Not the best but certainly not the worst;

Wouldn't it be better to nip into Lidl or Aldi, and buy three or four boxes at a time, say, every three or four months?
