Just wondering if there is a website with info about dishwashers. I just got a portable for my apartment after a year of not having one and I'm really loving everything about it. Is there a website somewhere that details the history of the dishwasher? I can only find that it was made by a lady who was tired of her servants chipping her china and brought to the world's fair. I want more than that! What about pictures of early models and improvements along the way. Is there a place online I can go to see the the wash action in motion? Thanks for any help you can offer!

I don't know a whole lot about the history and all the various companies that developed dishwashers ... but IIRC, the woman with the chipped china, whatever company she created or that ended up with her design, eventually became KitchenAid.
