<div>What do you get when you food guru Alton Brown visits the Mythbusters work shop?   Why lunch of course!

<div>They answer the question: "Can you cook a lasagna in a dishwasher"??

<div>Watch and you'll have the answer!!

Guess to show it can be done--Remember Exhaust manifold cooking on car motors years ago?Same idea.Projectionists used to "cook" on top of projector lamphouses-usually warming a can of soup.

<blockquote>Projectionists used to "cook" on top of projector lamphouses-usually warming a can of soup.</blockquote> With a carbon-arc lamp involved, just setting the soup can *near* the lamphouse likely would provide enough heat!

I read about the projector "cooking" in the Film-Tech website.Wonder if I could cook with the transmitters?Don't want to try it-but there is enough heat in some of those tubes. The dummy load we use has a coolant-electrolyte resevior that looks like a lobster pot-and one time I was tuning a transmitter into it and the load tank boiled over-"honey--The lobster pot boiled over"You don't really want to cook lobsters in that-its a sodium carbonate solution that is heated to 170 degrees. When the load is in use it gets hotter-heat exchangers dissapate the transmitter output to heat.-and lots of it!We did warm the site dogs food by putting it on a rack that had lots of tubed equipment in it-she liked having her food warmed-that work well!

There was a time someone left a can of spray lubricant in one of the transmitters RF power amp tuning cabinet-the can exploded from heat generated by induced RF current-sprayed the parts in the cabinet-everything was well lubricated!!A hole was burned and blown in the side of the can-that RF section handles up to 250Kw.You should see what happens if someone leaves a grounding hook up there!!!!They get to fix it!Burns the grounding stick up!
