Dishwashing away from home

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Paul, it appears the machine is sitting on the floor, if I'm looking at it correctly. I'm wondering if this would be considered the equivalent to a benchtop (countertop) dishwasher as we find here in the U.S.

Hi Appnut, yes it is a countertop model, the difference with this one is that there is an option to fill it manually from the top, pouring six litres of water into it. This is what makes it workable in the camper. We have made a rolling platform for it so that it pushes across to the right when not in use. Our camper has no water heater so to wash dishes in the tiny sink a kettle has to be boiled 3-4 times, there’s not really room to rinse them and they have to be dried immediately due to the lack of space. So although it’s a little extravagant this is actually a practical solution (lol as if I need to justify another dishwasher to myself!!)

I had 5 guests in my trailer last Thanksgiving. Good dinner but with the prep dishes, pots, dishes and wine glasses it took over 2 hours to boil water, wash, rinse and dry.
Never again. Will be bringinging the dishes home to put in the dishwasher.

Foraloysius, I believe the brand is Comfee, I’d never heard of it before. I was going to buy it from Amazon but ended up buying a slightly used one from EBay for half the price. We don’t go away on long enough trips for laundry to need doing, but of course dishes are a different story, , even on a one night trip.
