I have a Whirlpool top load washing machine (WTW4800BQ0) that shakes a lot and makes loud noises during any spin cycle and the whole machine shakes. Yes it’s level and I make sure to evenly distribute the load. On every load the machine seems to do this.

Serial number is C40930262.

Every time it spins, the machine shakes a lot and moves. The washer is about 11 years old. Is it time for a new washer?

Very likely the upper bearing has gotten water in it from bad upper seal and is shot-this is repairable, but cost may exceed machine worth if you have a repair shop do the work,,,Will need to replace transmission and some other small parts for a fix .

Probably more like suspension rods if it was bearings it’d be sounding like a jet like my VMW from the same time, although mine is the washplate version (WTW4900BW0). Mine isn’t banging it’s just really loud definitely bearing sound. Not same model.

Probably needs new shocks which is why it’s banging around, common on these models.
