Like many of you, I can also rattle off the brand names of most of my friends' appliances. In fact, I had guests last night and the wife said "Honey, what kind of refrigerator do we have?" He replied that he didn't know. I said, "You have a KitchenAid." They were both surprised.
 
A service for friends

Pretty much unconsciously I automatically memorize the products that my friends have in their household. However, when a product is recalled, I call them up and tell them. It's happened about half a dozen times already and I've been exactly right each time. When they get "the call" (Vivian... your dehumidifier has been recalled)they're usually taken aback. Afterward they are thankful when they get their free repairs off the manufacturer.
 
I could probably name the appliance brands with enough thought but it is not redily available in my minds little rolodex (lol)

I admire you guys who can do that. As I read through this I was thinking what an insurance man would have to say to you guys durring a write up following a loss. I know Id want you on my side......hahhah MY God if it went to court what judge would doubt you...?
