do you think its worth the price ?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Is there supposed to be a timer on this washer? It looks like there may be something missing on the front. Wouldn't hurt to ask before wasting fuel to get there. Otherwise it does look pretty clean. Probably has an aluminum, low-vane agitator with a red cap.

There is PRICE, COST, and VALUE. Price is what someone is asking for something. COST is that price plus pick up/transportation/travel fees involved. VALUE is what it means to you and the level of satisfaction it gives you to own it and use it. All are related but the final VALUE is what only you can determine. Ive paid a lot for many things but the value they give me makes up for the initial price and cost. People who only look at "price" are often quite disappointed.....

I've bought two wringers. This is definitely worth the price.
But always ask "will you take $65" or something like that. They always do (for me anyway).

If it's clean and working, and worth it to you, AMEN! I would imagine the Speed Queen wringers are easier to find parts for than, say the Whirlpool/Kenmore, so that might be a consideration also.

Yes, get the Speed Queen

HI, Great find on the Speed Queen. It looks like it has a mechanical timer that my not work. My mother had this machine in the 50's. Dad just took the timer out, cleaned it and oiled it and away it went. It had a nice clear tone when the bell rings. It will wash up a storm. Have fun. ABC-O-Matic

My grandmother had this model minus the timer, hers was bought new in 1956. It was her "housewarming" present from my grandfather. Wasn't that romantic?
