I agree
with Electron1100. I had an LG in our last flat and loved it but owning a Miele now I would never buy anything else. I used to think Miele were way over priced and used to wonder if the extra money was worth it. I can tell you it really is. I love my machine, the 6kg drum holds a lot more than you would think, it's quiet and wash times are reasonable. I get great results using the short option and only ever turn that off if I have a load that is very dirty. For example, I smashed a whole bottle of red wine on the kitchen floor and used white towels to mop it up....in that instance I didn't use the short option on the 95deg cottons wash but even so it was complete in just under 2 hrs 10 mins. The cottons wash can be as little as 1 hr, depending on the load size. A full load 60deg cotton wash is done in 85mins and a 40deg minimum iron wash is done in 59 mins ( short option ). Min Iron gives good deep rinses, especially if you select water plus. You can set water plus to add extra water to both wash and rinses.
I actually got a good deal on my machine 3 yrs ago, I got it for £649 with 5yrs part and labour at John Lewis. The W1613 costs £719 at John Lewis ATM but am sure you can find good deals if you search the internet. Sorry to bang on about Miele, I know some people are not fans but to me they provide simple to use, reliable, very sturdy machines that wash superbly....and when you consider they are designed for 20yrs on "normal" use provide good value for money. I have spent a small fortune on cheaper machines only to get a few years out of them. Hope I have been of some help and apologise if I have told you things about my machine that you already know.
