Wow! That box brings back memories for me that particular version of Drive was down here in Oz many years ago in fact the advertising slogan was"Ordinary powders get clothes ordinary clean,but Drive strives for total clean."
Drive is still here in Oz however of course the packaging has changed and it is now an enzyme based detergent.
It is available as a powder concentrate,a liquid and a new liquid Drive-Matic for front loaders.

Yes, we had it in the UK...
...but only briefly during the early eighties if my memory serves me right. I remember it being available as a small pack of regular powder, I think it was a 2 in 1. I would only have been a young child, so my memories may be distorted, but I'm sure we had it and that the scent was quite wonderful - something different.

The photo came from a full page fake cover of a magazine spoof in the National Lampoon. The fake magazine was titled, "Better Homes and Closets". You'll never guess who was featured in the kitchen, ironing a sun dress.
