I was just wondering does the Unilever brand Quix exist outside the Republic of Ireland?

It's a popular brand of washing-up liquid.

It's pretty good too, seems to be right up their with P&Gs Fairly Liquid products.

From the makers of Cif..

It's major selling point has always been that it has real lemon juice in the formula. Smells great.

Also, sometimes branded as "From the Makers of Cif"

Never seen that in the UK but there are all sorts of unknown brands in £ shops so it may be available somewhere.........

Is Cif a Unilever product in Europe?

FWIW, Unilever sold off all their dishwashing liquids in the US.

I never buy into those claims about containing "real" anything. All they have to do is add less than one drop per bottle to make the claim legal. If they put a pinheads worth of gold leaf in there they could legally claim and advertise that "it's now made with real gold" because it is.

Never seen it

on this side of the pond. I do like the bottle design, and I certainly like the name. Hand dishwashing is something I like to avoid entirely, and when it can't be avoided, I do like to get it done "quix"-ly!

yup!

Yeah, I avoid handwashing dishes like the plague too. I was just curious about the brand.

Unilever's range of products is pretty scary:

Ben & Jerry's (Icecream), Bovril (ancient and disgusting beef flavoured drink), Carte D'Or (Ice Cream) Cif (household cleaner), Comfort (Softener), Colemans (Mustards and sauces), Cornetto (Ice Cream), Domestos (Bleach), Dove (Soaps, shower products etc), Flora (sunflower oil and sunflour oil spreads), HB ("heart brand" Icecream), Hellmann's (Mayo), Impulse (Female Body Spray), Knorr (food brand), Lux (Soaps), Lynx (male body spray), Lyons Tea (tea), Magnum (Ice Cream), Marmite (Gross and vile yeast based traditional British spread), Persil (Laundry products), Pot Noodle (add-water noodle snacks), Quix (Washing up detergent), Slim-Fast (Slimming products), Solero (Ice Cream), Stork (Margarine), Sun (dishwasher products), Sunsilk (Haircare), Sure (Deo/anti-perspirant range), Surf (Laundry care), Timotei (Shampoo/conditioners), Vaseline & Vaseline intensive care range of cosmetics, Viennetta (ice cream)

and that's only in the Irish market

Worldwide there are umpteen other brands to add to that list.

There are other food brands in the Irish range too : Bertolli (Italian stuff) and Birds Eye (Frozen Foods)

I love Bovril!

When I can get it..only a few stores here in northeastern Ohio carry it.

A few drops of Bovril will perk up a lacklustre gravy. A bit more with some butter-sauteed onions makes a wonderful addition to bread dough.

I will agree that it's a bit over the top as a hot beverage, but as an ingredient, Bovril is marvellous!

Wow, Quix is probably like Sunlight was....Unilever used to push the real lemon juice trip as well....

Bovril is handy to have....(I also love Maggi Seasoning!!)

I'm also getting into the Dove Cream Oil Body Wash with rosewood and cocoa butter as well.....

They need to get their detergent act together, stateside.
