for real- this ? scrapped ? can't you donate it, for gosh sakes ...we donate tossed out appliances and furniture that apt. dwellers dump here, after they leave, to the Humane Society or a thrift shop. [this post was last edited: 4/7/2014-14:01]

It's a better oven than what you could get new today.  I wonder if they're scrapping the Maytag sitting next to it too?  Ugh.  Some people.  BTW, there wasn't a link.

I agree with you, they could have donated it.  Or sold it.  I doubt they would have gotten much for scrap.  Interestingly, I see '64 40" Frigidaires pop up pretty frequently, it seems to have been a popular year for 40" models.

pretty cool looking stove.....

i LOVE the sideways-oval clock on this stove!!!

it's too bad they don't or won't donate it to someone or someplace.

:o/

1964 was a good year for our family. My dad worked alot of overtime at Ford, Livonia, Mich.

Based on that, I think the appliance industry did well - maybe this one was priced right and did the job for the money or more - always liked the Frigidaire line in the 60's.
