Tom -
There was a variety of Kenmore models in the 1968 - 1972 period that used this console in various paint/trim colors, even two early 18 lb. large capacity models. I've seen white, cream, tan, tan/gray, gray or silver, and a charcoal gray base panel, and accent colors in corresponding hues, and also ugly orange as well as pastel green.
Some of the 1968 models had the cycle-printed transparent dials, and they were in the colors you describe in that time period. I think these were good sellers for Sears, and I think there have been a few here on the site over the years.
Andy and Kenny - I have no idea who this dude is in Charlotte to whom you refer, but that washer is actually NOT calling to anyone here that I am aware of. I'd take back the one I lost in my trailer, but not this one. You can put your Ladies K back in their places now Andy,
I'll post a couple pictures of similar models:
First is a 1970 KM 400, from a recent Craigslist ad. Not commonly seen these days. This too may have been a model that sales people foamed at the mouth to up-sell.
