Dormeyer collectors

Does anyone here collect Dormeyer?

I have an old square pitcher dormy blender that needs a lid.

If I can't find one I'll eventually mill one from stainless or food grade plastic with a food grade O-ring seal and a adapt a Oster or other brand replacement glass feed port.

Any ideas?

I'm into Dormeyer, but mixers, not blenders.

Your best bet will be eBay, of course. You might also try joining WACEM on YahooGroups; the name stands for We Actually Collect Electric Mixers. A lot of members there are knowledgeable, but the group is currently more focused on KitchenAid stuff than anything else.

I am a Dormeyer collector, too! I have LOTS of spare Dormeyer mixer bowls in the loft but no blender jars or the lid alas....

I don't specifically collect Dormeyer. I collect whatever I like the looks of really. I've watched eBay for some time without luck. I thought maybe someone knew of another source I haven't discovered yet.

Speaking of Dormeyer, I was at one of our local Goodwill stores the other day and spotted a Dormeyer stand mixer it was a heavy beast with one glass bowl. I thought about getting it until I saw the price $60.38.

One of my favorite brands of mixers but, rarely,if ever,do I see their blenders. I will keep my eyes open and try to find one.
