Since where talking laundry detergents this week, i was cleaning out my cabinets today i found a old box of enhancer and it was sort of leaking out of one pouch so i taped it back together think goodness i have two one that is sealed.
So it got on my hands and BOY did it bring back memories the smell was so good.

I really like this Downy i would use this in dress shirts & kakis for work, it did not over soften the fabric... aaaa had a nice stiff feel but just the right amount of softness to the garment, why they took it off the market is beyond me.
The formula also was the first in my experience that did not clog dispensers.
Anyone here used or no about this product ?
I want it back now lol here are some pics.

timeline please

Darren, when did you acquire this? I've never ever seen or heard of it. Perhaps it was a test product over East?

BTW >had a nice stiff feel but just the right amt of softness< LMAO

Downy in a pouch

Wow, that brings back memories - I seem to recall P&G came up with these pouches called 'Enviro-Packs' (well here in Canada, anyway) to allow you to re-use a bottle of Downy, Ivory dish liquid, and other products. Never heard of enhancer, though... I do remember the dispenser ball that is shown on the pouch, too. I haughtily sniffed at the thought of getting one, since the Kenmore portable washer that I tortured the folks downstairs from me wiht had a fabric softener dispenser!
BTW Nice turquoise washer top, there Darren! ;-)

A similar product was sold here

In the late 90s/early 2000s, actually branded as downy instead of lenor, I beleive it came in on the back of the "easy iron" softner formulas that had preceded it and was claimed to be better still. It was also not supposed to affect the absorbancy of towels the way regular softners do.

I had a few bottles of the stuff, but it separated into a gooey, greasy, Downy scented mess. Nothing I could do to put that mess back together into a usable state. Down the drain it went.

We had it here in Memphis but because it was so good I loved it they discontinued it.replaced it with some of this downy crap that they have now that sucks.

Hey guy's Keith...I called P & G today and here name was April i swear lol,
She said that they discontinued the line on 2003 because the product did not move of the shelfs enough so there it is.
Well i thank most people did not like it because it was not soft to the touch like other downey products which it was not design to do.
But she said if people called more about it then they might consider putting it back on the shelfs ya right maybe if everyone here called we could protest
( WE WANT IT BACK ) LOL. So i would.
Keith you are funny about the stiff thing what are thinking about lol.

Matt thanks for the pic of the Lenor i did not no that's what downy was called in the U.K. It would be nice to have that back for the people here who does not like softener because of absorbency issues.

PeterH770, as you know some softeners just don't have a shelf life wish they did.

Tom, Carl, maybe if we called them to death we might get it back lol...who knows right.

Paul that turquoise front load washer is nice too.
