I bought some last weeks and I have to admit the laundry smells great. My issue with them is that when the washer goes into the spin cycle i hear allot of spitting and sputtering noises coming from the pump and at first it almost gave me a coronary as I thought one of the hoses must of came off the pump or something. Maybe these are only meant for newer electric pump washers? who knows...I just don't want to have to replace the pump because of a broken impeller from these little beads.

I use them from time to time on bed sheets for the guest room (the scent is long-lasting). Some of the beads manage to fall through the tub holes of the top-loading Immersion Care (once they've become saturated and begin to dissolve), and a few of them migrate forward and get stuck in the boot of the front-loader. At any rate, all are dissolved by the end of the wash portion of the cycle. Haven't noticed the sound of them going through the pump on either machine.

Sounds like you're using a non-HE top-loader, so there should be plenty of water to dissolve the beads before the wash water drains. Even if some of them drop through the holes of a perforated tub, they should soften and dissolve by the end of the wash cycle. They dissolve in my ultra-low water use front-loader, which I would think is a tough test.

The only thing unstopable about these is the scent.
For me P&G can keep it.

for some machines, pouring in detergent will have it run straight for the sump before the machine has a chance to fill....and not enough motion to mix and disolve

some machines offer dreict inject, meaning the dispensed detergent is poured onto the load, and not behind the inner drum....pros and cons for each type...

sometimes best for stuff like this and powder detergents, to place them in a sock when loading, or wait for the machine to add some water before adding the product thru the dispenser.....worth a shot....
