I couldn't pass up the deal on these. I gave $300 for the pair and both are in pretty dang good shape. I sold my Estate ETW4400WQ0 and I was going to sell my Maytag DG308, but I may actually try to find a matching washer to it. The Maytag duo has been marching along since Saturday and I'm pleased with my purchase. The Washer is a LAV3600AWW with a serial number of 11328740EP and the Dryer is a MDG2600BWW with a serial number of 15106554EG

Lucky you! These clean better and last longer than any new piece of garbage sold today with the exception of Speed Queen Classic.

I bought these over the matte black Speed Queen set I seen at Fleming's in town. I wanted a set as I never owned a set. I am keeping my DG308 and I was given a Neptune MAH5500BWW that I'm going to restore.

Congratulations on your new to you Maytag set, if you want to keep these for the long run, you should pull the washer basket out and clean any mineral buildup and touchup any rust areas in the outer wash tub With an epoxy enamel also consider putting in a new main center seal or at least lubricating everything.

Last thing you’ll ever have to worry about is washer belts they’ll be available forever, but I would get an extra timer may be an inlet valve for the machine.

On the dryer, I’d also get it extra timer for it. Most of the parts will probably be available for the dryer for a long time. There are many problem areas on those dryers, but there are with most dryers.

I’m sure you realize you could reverse the dryer door to make it easier to use.

What’s your long-term goal for these machines? How many loads a week do you do, etc. all that would make a difference in how much work you do to try to keep them working.

Since my kids moved to Kansas it mostly just me so I think I do 2-4 loads a week. I never thought about it too much. I will track down some spares as I want to keep this pair going for a while. These are my daily drivers now since I was getting worried about my DG308 having a major failure due to its age. I wasn't worried about my Estate ETW4400WQ0 as it had been fairly reliable, I just couldn't pass up a matching set for a good price.
