PhilR has been visiting and while here, besides talking about Frigidaires (of course!) and checking out our new Whirlpool stacker set, we've been trying to diagnose a problem with our compact 18" GE (Danby?) "made in China" dishwasher. with an old school mechanical timer and on/off dryer switch.
The main pump and inlet valve seem ok, and the timer is working. The problem seems to lie with the Hamming drain pump. It's impeller spins but seems a bit reluctant when disassembled, but doesn't seem to spin when together and powered. The part is # 5304461725. The d/w is model GSM1860NSS. The part is available on the 'net but super expensive. Anyone have a good used one, or know of a reliable discount source? The one cheaper source is a 3rd party drop shipper, are those legit/'safe to use if there's a problem? Seems like there's no parts houses around in town any more. Thanks for help!
