Dryer comparasion

hello to all aw members,

is this possible that this could be an earlier model of my grandmother 's dryer? and i would also like to know what is the diffrence bewteen these models?

I don't specifically know Canadian Whirlpool/Inglis ... but:

1.  The first dryer pictured is older.

2.  The first dryer has a variable thermostat temp control ranging from air (heat off) to high.

3.  The second dryer seems to have only two temp choices -- heat (red) or air (green).  So, that makes the first dryer a little more deluxe.

4.  Both dryers have the same timer & cycle choices -- timed Perm Press/W-n-W, and timed "regular."  The choices of 1-Light, 2-Medium, 3/4 Heavy, & Ex-Heavy are not a moisture-sensor cycle, it's timed but without the minutes stated.  The difference between Perm Press & the "regular" cycle is length of the cool down (5 mins vs. 10 mins).

thank you for the info and bythe way my grandmother 's dryer is a 3 temp model high(red)med(yellow)and air(blue) and if you click on my avy you will see a bigger pic of the dryer thamk you very much for the info
