There must be a better way.... The clamp just slips off. Zip tie does the same. Duct tape also slips off after time... Anyone got anything that works good?

Rigid METAL ducting. Safer--won't sag, collect lint, and become a fire hazard as easily!
Soft plastic should be outlawed (my opinion) for dryer ducting.

How tight is the clamp? Mine was slipping off too for a bit, so I flared the exhaust pipe a slight amount, so its pretty snug now, and just tighten the clamp so much you would have to cut it to get it off...

Oh plastic hosing isn't allowed to be sold in NS. Something tells me its illegal to be sold in Canada? I can't remember, I do know it's not allowed in NS. I had the flexible metal hose slip off on my Maytag, like I said, I just flared the pipe a bit and tightened it right up.

Only use metal screw type clamps on flexible ducting. In some tight installations when you have a short run flexible ducting is sometimes the best thing to use. But follow the installation instructions carefully, never use over 8' of flexible tubing for example. Rigid metal pipe is differently best for long runs, but it will actually accumulate more lint inside than plastic ducting in many cases. This is because the heavy metal pipe gets more condensation inside it which collects lint. I have cleaned and worked on or installed at least 10,000 dryer vent systems so far and still going.

The best clamp would be the worm drive screw clamp. These should be available at better hardware stores, or maybe from plumbing or appliance repair shops.
We had our flex duct replaced with a metal tube a few years ago and it is secured at both ends with a worm drive band. We got this from our chimney sweep when he was cleaning the fireplaces and the clothes dryer duct. He only charged $25.00 including installation of the rigid metal pipe and band.
