The dryer is a Kenmore 80 series gas dryer Model 11072812100 and stopped getting hot.
I replaced the thermostat part # 3387134 and temperature switch 3399639 because both items were not getting continuity.
I also checked the continuity and condition on the following items; high temp thermostat, the heat sensor( cleaned the sensor), the igniter had no cracks or visible damage, two solenoids on the gas valve, and the remaining switches.
I removed the drum and blew out the entire dryer, cleaned the lint duct, felt, and the motor. I sprayed W-D40 on the motor shaft and the wheels. I checked the condition of the belt and tension arm. I saw no loose or damaged wires and all items listed were getting power to them. I reassembled the dryer and it ran like a top. A cold top.

Does the igniter glow ?  That would be the first thing I'd suspect.  Do you hear the gas valve solenoids clicking when it calls for heat?

I had a similar issue last year, tried everything, turned out the gas valve went bad, something I have not seen before.  Picked up a replacement on eBay cheap used...

My Kenmore did that.  The valve coil had continuity but not the right continuity and the valve did not operate.   The interlock between those 2 valves is not exactly straightforward.

There's also the motor start/run switch but if the glowbar lights up that confirms the centrif switch IIRC.

Gas dryer

Last time our dryer had no heat, it was the heat sensor.  I in error suspected the coil igniter.

Dave's Laund. Equip. Repairs: Dryer, 3; Washer, 2

On my first repair that my dryer needed, I went from suspecting the ignitor in it, when it wouldn't heat, to discovering when the repairman came it was the thermo-fuse...

Then the next repair, it was the ignitor, after-which it had gotten a complete over-haul, and just recently I had replaced the door-switch, though the repair guy let me run the machine without it until he could get the right part...  We then also got the interior light to work again; the connector just wasn't fully threaded into the socket...

The Frigidaire dryer I recently bought for $20 quit heating and the previous owner didn't want to fool with it.  I thought it was the igniter too, and when I checked continuity in the igniter it registered none.  Got a new igniter...and it also said no continuity.  I went ahead and installed it while I was in there and got to poking around.  I found a thermal fuse that was shot.  I jumped it to test it and the igniter glowed and the gas ignited.  Replaced the fuse and now it's my daily driver.
